Review - "My friend and I stayed in the King Edward for one night while visiting a friend in Banff. We chose the King Eddie due to it's location right on Banff Avenue, and the very reasonable price. We chose to share a room with one queen bed. The rooms are quite small, allowing for just enough space for the bed, a dresser, and a small table. Nothing spectacular, but it was very clean and our windows looked directly over the main streets of Banff. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but I couldn't complain. Service was friendly, though our only contact with the hotel staff was for checking in and checking out, so I didn't have much contact with them. It is a little noisy due to being on the main street, but it's also conveniently located above many restaurants and one of the popular clubs Hoodoo. Great basic room for a fantastic price in comparison to your other options."

She has furnished the suite with care and there are lots and lots of little special romantic touches. The location is quiet and on the hill behind Kelowna giving a nice view over the town and the lake in the distance. Leagh was amazingly helpful with vineyard and dinner recommendations and the huge breakfasts she made us were much appreciated and very delicious. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It's fantastic for quiet romantic weekends."

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the parking was good, the room was clean and well appointed, although on the small side for the price paid. The food was disappointing - not enough healthy options, not enough selection generally, and not memorable. The building is older. In some areas you couldn't tell, but in some areas it was apparent."

Review - "September 9 and 10, 2006, my wife and I stayed at Bombay Peggy's "Hotel." This small, gold-rush brothel themed hotel was authentically appointed with rich reds and greens in the carpets, walls and drapes. (Pics are at bombaypeggys.com) Our room, the "Sweet, which we chose because we failed to make timely reservations for a smaller room, was spacious, with two queen beds and acres of space within which to fit the table, wet bar, television, and refrigerator. The pedastal sink, slipper tub with a 7 inch rain showerhead, and wooden toilet seat lent an authentic old fashioned air to the bathroom. "

Over the last decade or so I have had nothing but positive experiences with this B&B. The reason I am familiar with places to stay in Valdez is because it is one of two closest supply areas for me during the summer season which I spend in the Wrangell Mountains. In case you doubt my creditability, at least as far as connections with this enterprise go, I know nothing about the owners other than to have met the old boy who owns the joint on a number of my visits."

The main street in Talkeetna Alaska is a glance into the past. The friendly citizens of this northern community mean it when they say "Welcome to beautiful downtown Talkeetna". There is a picnic area at the end of Main Street where you will often find the locals relaxing.

Review - "A good overall stay. This is classed as a motel but you cannot get you car to the door of the room. However this is a popular motel with business travellers which is a good sign. I arrived at 1pm out of main season and got the last of 50 rooms. Its attractions are that it is only 12 miles from Denali NP, has small but clean rooms with large bathrooms ,large tv and wireless internet, all for around $70. Its restaurant has attracted adverse comment in the past which I can understand.It is quirky but the food is ok. You have to enter thru the bar and if you want a drink with meal you have to sit in a seperate area and get the drink yourself from the bar! This is also a smoking area. A smoke free meal with a glass of wine is not possible. This seems strange but then I am English The reception is laid back; not sure if we have a room but friendly. I would stay again."

A computer was provided for guests to check email etc. Rosies cafe was within walking distance next door and they provided a good full breakfast if desired. I was pleased that we stayed at the Nord Haven as opposed to the tourist mecca in the cruise lodges a little closer to Denali.”

Review - “We spent two nights at the beginning of our Alaska backcountry trip in the Driftwood Lodge and two nights at the end. We had a kitchen which was nice because we could shop at the supermarket next door and not have to eat every meal out. The downtown wharf area is an easy walk and the State Museum is just a couple of blocks away. Juneau is a very compact town and there is municipal bus service to the outlying areas. No need for a taxi or rental car. They have laundry facilities so we were able to clean up before flying home, and they gave us free shuttle service to and from the airport and ferry terminal. The room was not fancy but it was clean and comfortable and felt authentically Alaskan. What more does anyone need?”

Review - "This hotel is a very economical option in Rochester and is connected to the Mayo clinic by the underground walkway which is very convenient if you are going there. The room was very clean, especially the bathroom which is a stckler for me. There is also a small, empty refrigerator in the room which was left open and left a slight smell in the room. An ironing board and iron is not available in the room and there is no option for movies. Of course no room service but lots of restaurants close by. There is an interesting notice left on the bathroom sink that asks the guest to use the supplied "rag" for removing make-up or cleaning up dirty things rather than using the good linens (which are OK but postage stamp size.) Would recommend with caveats."

Review - "I am a Choice, Hilton and Holiday Inn Gold Traveler and these are my lodging preferences. I was booked here (by a client) for a conference and thus had no choice. The conference room was large and very suitable. The hotel is old but the location is good. The rooms have been remodeled and the mattresses/bedspreads appear to be new. The shower is modern with a curved rod and updated shower head. They offer FREE breakfast (full) and 20% off on meals in the restaurant...which was fine. The TV was new and clear. I did not feel unsafe or worried during my stay as a single woman. They do not have a working key card entrance in the back door but this town is not too large, so it did not bother me....if it were the city then perhaps I would be concerned! I would not choose this location over the Holiday Inn Express (down the street) but it was comfortable, clean and quiet. The pool was clean and seemed to be a draw for families. Peace of Heaven is a 2 bedroom, 1200 ft., 2bath, very private, clean and beautifully decorated cabin. It over looks Wears Valley below and the mountains in the distance from our covered front porch. In the back, the view is of the valley and Cove Mountain. It is located less than 2 miles from the entrance of the park via Hwy 321 (Wears Valley Rd) and Lyon Spring Rd thru Metcalf Bottoms. It is located pretty much in the center of the activities of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Townsend, and Cades Cove. Many mornings you can look into the mountains and see why they are called the Smokies.

Review - “This was a wonderful week for us. Just what the doctor ordered. Peace and quiet extraordinaire. We felt like we had the mountain to ourselves. We did have the bear visit us one night (2:08am) We heard him, but he ran off before we could see him. We will remember this week for years to come.”
